This is me and I am a feminist.

My feminism is not based on whether or not I think I’m pretty. It’s not based on whether or not you or any other person thinks I’m pretty. My feminism is about whether or not people treat me as an equal, despite what I look like, despite what I choose, despite what I believe, etc. It’s about treating me with respect and not an as an object, a hysterical “bitch,” an idiot or a baby machine. It’s about so much more than ALL of this—so much so that a piteous issue like how I look or other women look barely crosses my mind. Good day.
